Great Case, July 7, 2011 By This review is from: Corsair Obsidian Series Black 650D Mid Tower Computer Case (CC650DW-1) (Personal Computers) In the past I've always chosen either a CM, thermaltake, or antec case and have had very mixed results among the three; some good and some, well, not so. When I first saw the 800D I was very impressed, but the size and price were both on the large end of the range. Intelligently, Corsair produced the 650D for those of us that don't have room for a massive case and don't want to afford a high price but still want all of the features a top of the line case (like the 800D) has to offer.
First off, this case is simple and understated. No flashy lights or strange graphics are found anywhere on or in this case which is refreshing since most of the garbage on the market is lite up like a state penitentiary. The sides top bottom and back are made from fairly study steel, while the front is brushed aluminum which is mounted on plastic. (the plastic is not viewable from the outside and is quite thick and study). The window on the side is nice and study and doesn't look horrendously... Read more

Classic, classy simplicity- but HD trays should be sturdier..., June 30, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Corsair Obsidian Series Black 650D Mid Tower Computer Case (CC650DW-1) (Personal Computers) I had my build in the beautiful Sentey Arvina 6400 Black case, which I love. But, after I found myself sitting the case left side facing out on top of my computer table with the side panel off to view the inside components, lighting, etc, I decided that I wanted a case with a "windowed" side panel. I initially considered modding the Arvina's side panel, cutting a window in it, but decided that it's way too nice and has the design buildout for ventilation that I did not want to risk messing that up; which, knowing me, would be way too high a risk to take. I will move my eleven year old son's build into the Arvina, and keep his current AZZA Hurrcan 2000 case aside for the future.
For my build I researched the "windowed" computer case market inside and out. I always came back to the Corsair cases because of the overall design, simple, classic "classy" exterior design, quality and cable management. Initially I struggled between the Graphite series "black" and new White... Read more
