UPS just deliverd our new Inspiron i660...woohoo. I know it is bare-bones - that's why I selected this one. Good middle of the road in many things - processor, drive, no programs. We were looking for something generic that we could add specific programs to, and keep "clean" of bloat and other junk. McAfee...well, ok, it's free.

But...imagine my surprise when I pull it out of the box and find...unlike the pictures...that there is no discrete video card installed as pictured! That is one of the MAIN reasons I ordered this particular model! On both the Amazon and the Dell website, it shows the presence of the discrete card, with HDMI, DVI, adn second D-sub! But...not on this model!

Here's my problem...if you are going to put a picture of the product...then MAKE SURE the picture actually matches the product. I know - many will say "you are not rating the product" - but I am! I ordered a specific product with specific ports...and didn't receive it! I... Read more

I had a great Dell Dimensions from 2004-2012. Received my Dell Inspiron 660 (64 bits) Computer August 21, 2012 which I purchased by phone from Dell in TX. Dell Solutions senior techs have been in my apartment 4 times and are unable to synch up Dell V525w printers with Dell's printer specialists' help in the Philippines. Techs have spent 8 1/2 hours unsuccesfully. Last person here was September 8. During the past week, my machine won't connect to the Internet. Everyone blamed everyone else. My ISP, Time Warner, at Dell's suggestion to me did diagnostics & tried giving me a new IP address. Didn't work. TW came up to my apartment and installed a new router, plugs, cords, etc. Still, no internet unless I disconnect router/modem from computer each time. McAfee, installed in Dell, had connectivity problems. They ran diagnostics & uninstalled McAfee. It didn't help. Then Dell tech did diagnostics. It didn't help. I asked for computer replacement. Great Computer by Dell. Much more than I expected as the information is quite sparse on the computer. Runs great on FIOS. Easy to set up and easy to use. Has many features as the Dell site does.
