Solid, Functional & As Basic As It Gets!, October 4, 2011 By Indolent (Ohio, USA/London, UK) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Mead-Hatcher Stackable Monitor Riser, Stackable, Gray (MAT21202) (Office Product) Last week I was ordered by our roaming workplace safety/ergonomics "SWAT" team to raise the height of my monitor, just a bit. I'd ditched a huge monitor riser only a few months ago because the same ergo-SWAT team decreed that my monitor was too high, but evidently that left my screen just a couple of inches shy of where it should be. I was tempted to just shove a Yellow Pages under there (rather than just throw the thing straight in the recycling bin) but I'm not sure that would go down too well.
So, I scoured the websites of the usual office supply retail suspects and was surprised at just how hard it is to find a suitable monitor riser if that's all you really want: something that will nudge your monitor just a tiny bit higher. Since the newer models seem to have done away with the height adjustment feature that my previous flatscreens had, and since my employer doesn't furnish us peons with height-adjustable desks, the options are very limited if you only need to tweak... Great Stackable Risers!, February 15, 2008 By By the Window At Work "Iraidita" (Alexandria, VA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase I have 2 monitors at my desk and lots of papers. When I ordered the stackable risers, I ordered 4, so that I could place 2 under each monitor. Now I place all my papers neatly under each riser and I feel organized. I pull them out and put them back-in whenever I feel the need.
The color of the risers match my desk and the metal makes it like they are part of the workstation. It really helps make my area less cluttered.
Plus, they are durable!
Works, but that's about it., May 9, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Mead-Hatcher Stackable Monitor Riser, Stackable, Gray (MAT21202) (Office Product) I was expecting more, from the photo and for the price. This is just a stamped and formed steel plate painted white with a few rough holes at the corners. The holes on the bottom are quite sharp and will scratch your desk (they do include some adhesive pads, but looks like an afterthought). However the holes do help keep them together if you stack them.
Again, for the price I was expecting more, but I'll probably keep them anyway.
Update, later the same day:
After opening the other 3 I got, 2 of them were damaged, so I decided to send them all back.
