Sometimes you get protocol errors which makes me think the connector is not very good and has a high resistance compared to the original shipped with the Palm cable which never has this issue.
Then again, if Palm would just use a mini USB connector, it wouldn't be a problem and I wouldn't have to have this special cable at all.
