don't think twice...buy it!, August 19, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-N Smart Repeater and Range Extender (SR150) (Personal Computers) I have a linksys wireless router/switch in my home office which I have been very happy with for about 4 years now. my house is heavily constructed in concrete (I live in an earthquake prone zone) and many rooms on the second story of the house dont get signal from the linksys. I have tried the linksys equivalents repeater (I logically stayed brand loyal when buying a repeater) various times, even buying two in case the first was faulty, and was never able to simply get the unit to function. I am quite computer literate and rather handy in general and honestly could not get the units from Linksys up and running consistantly.
Well let me report that this unit from amped wireless took me exactly 7 minutes to install and works like a dream! I HAVE RARELY BEEN SO PLEASED WITH THE EASE OF INSTALATION AND FUNCTION OF AN ITEM IN MY LIFE. 23 of 25 people found the following review helpful works like its supposed to and easy to install, May 8, 2011 This review is from: Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-N Smart Repeater and Range Extender (SR150) (Personal Computers) i'm a mom with little experience with networking and this product was very easy to install. just read teh instructions and scanned for my home network, selected it and it started working. now we have wireless coverage int he backyard and throughout the home (and kids room which never had wifi). they can now do homework and other things from their own rooms instead of coming into ours. we love it. if i can install it so can you!

Warning for some, August 29, 2011 By Zupper "What's all the hub, bub?" (Alabama) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Amped Wireless High Power Wireless-N Smart Repeater and Range Extender (SR150) (Personal Computers) Product does not play nice with AT&T's 2Wire Wireless routers. I called support and they were proud to say that they have the ONLY product that "kind of" works with 2wire. Unfortunately you have to update your firmware AND (this is the kicker) run a hard wire from your router to the repeater. Kind of defeats the purpose of "wireless" if you asked me. Tech support was kind enough but I wish I knew this products limitations BEFORE shelling out the cash. Hope this help some.

We apologize about the inconvenience this may have caused you. It is true that the Amped Wireless Repeater is one of the few if not the only repeater on the market that currently works with 2Wire routers from AT&T, however there are some AT&T 2 Wire Routers that still provide an issue with the repeaters. We are working hard with AT&T to try to resolve this issue. There are two solutions to help solve this problem for current AT&T users that have internet problems: The tech suggested the second one which was to convert your Repeater into a high power access point. Because the repeater has a high power radio and antenna, it gets about twice the range as the AT&T router thereby covering most range problems that AT&T users may have. Although you have to run a cable to your 2Wire router, the Access Point conversion still provides about 2x the range that you currently have. This is why the tech suggested this option to you. If you wish to try this again please give us a call at 888-573-8820 and our support team would be happy to walk you through the steps. Thank you.
