Big and very bright, some software problems, July 8, 2012 This review is from: Samsung B350 S27B350H 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor (Personal Computers) I have connected this monitor to my computer: i5-2300 CPU @ 2.8 GHz, 8.00 GB of RAM, 64-bit Widows 7 Professional.
Upon first start (boot-up), I noticed that the monitor was far too bright for me. Especially, since I use CAD software and sometimes work with my face quite close to the monitor. After tinkering with the touch buttons at the lower right corner, I figured them out and managed to turn down the brightness to 29% (my comfort level). Even at this level of brightness, the whites are bright, colors are brilliant, and letters are easy to read.
After that, I installed (from the supplied diskette) Magic Tune, by downloading the latest version for Windows 7. The Magic Tune software was supposed to allow me to control monitor settings with the mouse, rather than with control buttons at the lower right corner of the bevel. Right after installing of Magic Tune, the computer started to restart itself in cycles or shut itself off completely. It wouldn't stay on long... Read more

Excellent monitor. Reccomended buy., December 18, 2012 By This review is from: Samsung B350 S27B350H 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor (Personal Computers) I have to say first that I didn't buy this on Amazon. I bought it at Sam's Club; they had a sale on it for $248. At that price this monitor is AMAZING. Even at the regular price (seems to fluctuate between $275-$300), after having the monitor for a week, I would gladly buy another should mine fail for any reason (or if I plan on having multiple monitors at any point).
First off, yes, the monitor comes at full brightness on default (which is bright, and looks great). Honestly don't see why this would be a problem since most people would calibrate it to their tastes anyways. I love this monitor because not only is it very high quality, it is very simply. No unnecessary packaging, no unnecessary buttons or ports (Only has a power, HDMI, and DVI inputs, looks great). The monitor is VERY sleek and thin, and the picture is great. Upon opening the box, everything was packaged well and the monitor had no dead pixels. I spend a lot of my time at the computer and play a lot of FPS's... Read more

Great picture but faulty internal power supply, February 28, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsung B350 S27B350H 27-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor (Personal Computers) I bought this monitor based on our experience with our Samsung 52" television (LN52A650A). Great picture, sleek design, etc.
Amazon did their usual great job of shipping it to arrive on (or ahead) of schedule. When I initially set it up and the screen came on, I was very impressed. Great color, deep blacks, clear. Just what I expected.
THEN
I discovered when my computer would either be turned off for more than an hour OR go to sleep and then wake up, the monitor would not fully power up. The power power up briefly, flash the login screen and then turn off. While this was occurring, I could hear what sounded like a short circuit coming from the lower right corner of the monitor, in the general area of the touch activated controls. The ONLY way the monitor would work would be if I manually unplugged and then plugged back in the monitor to the power. This was a hassle I should not have to deal with.
