Ripper XXL Review & First Impressions, March 23, 2011 This review is from: XTracPads Ripper XXL Desktop Gaming Mat (Electronics) Customer Video Review Length:: 5:10 Mins
A first impressions semi-review. I have had the pad now for about a month and my impressions have not changed since doing this video review. I really enjoy it and will be sticking with it over any other product available currently on the market.
I also have the Fat Mat from Xtrac Pads and will be doing a review of it soon.

The best mouse pad (desk pad) I've owned, March 30, 2009 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: XTracPads Ripper XXL Desktop Gaming Mat (Electronics) I have used lots of different mouse pads. Hard ones, soft ones, plastic, metal, millimeter thin and centimeter thick. This is the best one so far.
Because of its size this is really not a mouse pad, it's a keyboard and mouse pad, or a desk pad if you will. I have my keyboard in the center of it and I still have more than enough space to use my mouse on both sides of the keyboard. I switch between my left and right hand often to minimize mouse arm problems, and it is nice not to have to move the mouse pad together with the mouse, or have two pads.
It does attract some dust and stuff, but it is easily vacuumed or brushed away. You can even throw it in the washing machine when it becomes dirty or if you spill stuff on it. Don't know if that is recommended by the manufacturer, but I've done it and it worked nicely.
It stays put on your desk and will not slip around. It is also not thick enough to be "fluffy" but it is still soft to the touch.

huge mat!, March 19, 2008 By This review is from: XTracPads Ripper XXL Desktop Gaming Mat (Electronics) i am an avid gamer, gaming anywhere from 5-12 hours a day. my mouse pad is VERY important. i used to use the steelpad 4-d. it was nice but lost all its abrasive side making it too smooth for my mx518. I bought some new mouse feet and this. it works amazing. i put my keyboard on it so it doesnt slide around anymore. the pad allows for very precise aiming. though i STILL run out of room sometimes but that may be my fault because i am a low sensitivity shooter. the biggest problem with this mat is that it LOVES lint/hair/dust. i am always blowing cat hair (and my hair) out of the optical area of the mouse. the best thing i found to clean this is to get a lint roller and lightly go over the pad. but do not go over the edges! like a rug, going over the edges starts to loosen the stitching and would eventually make the mat start falling apart. the mat is very useful otherwise.
glide: depends on sensitivity of gamer. for low - 9/10
size: HUGE. biggest out there. 7/10... Read more
