5.0 out of 5 stars Best Case for the Money!, June 10, 2012

This review is from: Thermaltake Commander MS-I Epic Edition VN400A1W2N-B No PS Mid Tower Case (Black/Red) (Personal Computers)
I bought this thinking, "I'm just going to end up getting some junky computer case, but that's all I'm willing to pay, so I can deal with it." After opening the box, however, I realized this was not a cheap, junky case like some of the other ones in this price range. This thing looked great, just like the $120 cases. It was really easy to get my old PC moved into this one also. The things that made this easy:

-Easy pop-off front panel (No Screws)
-Screw-less disk drive and hard drive bays
-Fairly simple instruction manual (you can tell it was written by someone who isn't a native English speaker, but still fairly readable)
-Plenty of extra screws if you need them
-All front panel cords were together and labeled
-Easy access to the inside (One finger turnable screw)
-Labeling so you know where to put your motherboard

Though this was an awesome deal for me, who is quite computer savvy, but please be aware of a few things:... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking case, easy access, great bang for the buck., January 22, 2013

Here's the deal. There are better cases out there but you have to pay more money. When you want a great looking case that has easy mounting points, this is the best bang for the buck. Things can get tight in there - but that's going to be a direct result of how much 'stuff' you cram into it. I built a game developers (and players) system so I have performance based hardware - and a lot of it. It's a tight fit, but the build was as smooth as any. The case is well constructed, rounded metal edges, nicely painted on the inside - very attracting.

Just a few areas to work on for the manufacturer and things you should know. USB3.0 from the front panel is fed through a cable ending with a type A male connector. This is great if you want to poke a cable out of your case, then connect it to your motherboard. Not practical though and you lose one of your USB 3.0 jacks. Several manufacturers do this so no stars off for Thermaltake. It's just time to do it right - by supplying a 20 pin... Read more

It's a typical case, but I really like the red parts (my favourite colour combination is red and black).
I have a couple of red LED fan and they really look cool in the dark.
